The left side of the logo reflects the Chinese contribution to our curriculum. In Mandarin it is pronounced "Ji ran jing shen daw ".
Which is loosely translated as "This is the Way"
The Phoenix is a symbol of Destruction and rebirth.
The Phoenix symbol has been seen in various cultures and in different timelines. It is a symbol of renewal and rebirth the metamorphose of the past to that of the future.
This symbol has been chosen as a reflection that we are all in a constant state of change.... the past to the future, the death of cells as others are reborn, the evolution of old concepts to new. As a living being our thoughts, body and future are connected to a cycle of destruction and rebirth.
On the right side of the logo is Japanese Kanji for our lineage to Datu Kelly Worden's "Natural Spirit Way"
The Kanji "Gee Yin Ching Sun Do" is translated as:
Gee Yin = Nature's All
Ching Sun = Spirit
Do = Way
Datu Worden's Natural Spirit Way relies on "Connecting the Systems" by de-emphasizing style and focusing on movement itself... Movement simply becomes movement, the function of that movement comes out of the intention placed into it. A specific movement can be a block or a strike based on the intention placed into the movement.
Datu Worden has extensive relationship to Jesse Glove, Ed hart, Richared Bustillo, and Taky Kimura
